I'm an artist

A sculptress
A shaper of things
A painter
A liar
An angel with wings.

I'm a joyfully young thing
But you may behold
an old lady - grotesque
Both timid and bold.

I'm multiple sided
Quite human you see
And while fooling you all
I also fool me.

I spent my working life in New York City, where I designed and created clothing and worked with several interior designers.

About twenty years ago, my husband and I retired to Columbia County. Inspired by its beauty, I soon found myself doing photography, drawing, painting, and watercolors. Wanting to delve deeper into the arts I enrolled at the University of Albany's Empire State College. I recieved my B.S. degree in Art and Art Studies, and my diploma on my 70th birthday!

Largely I am a self taught artist, making realistic and nonobjective pastels, watercolors and oils. Over the years my work has been shown at a number of galleries and venues in the Hudson Valley, such as a number of annual juried shows of Columbia County Council on the Arts, Hudson NY. A number of my pieces found their home in private collections.
